If you read tbo we could lose Wilcox next summer if we don't sign him before summer 2015. I'd have to assume by the 2015 2016 season vasi becomes back up goalie while Wilcox and guds are the ahl goalies.

We can sign him in March or April when his season is over we still have his rights! But he can become a ufa summer 2015 if he wants to. If a draft pick is not signed 4 years after he is drafted you lose his rights.

Not sure, and correct me if I'm wrong, but Stralman is better than Garrison , no? So I'd put Garrison with Hedman, and Stralman with Carle, not sure how it plays out though

it also gives carle a solid anchor back there. carle is offensive and explosive when he is at the top of his game and he can be a difference maker . we need something to get him going this year, he can be a good guy for us, hes a play starter

That wouldn't be yZerman letting him go then , that would be Wilcox leaving on his own . But I think from what I now understand we have a whole year to offer him a contract . And does he have to accept it if one is offered ?
