Only if he's dressed as a police officer. |

Poile playing it smart so far, but even he will have to cave I would think. Whose left, Grabo? Olli Jokinen? - Just5
Agree it is a matter of time befores he caves....as long as Hexy doesnt cave like Holmgren would.
Given how the top of the West has improved....Nashville has no choice but to look for significant pivot and given the prices Vinny's hit isnt horrendous for a 2nd line guy. |

Maybe Hexy will offer to eat some cap if they send back a top notch prospect or an established NHL dman that can help them move Grossmann. |

•The Fourth Period: It is believed that the Flyers and Predators have resumed talks regarding Vincent Lecavalier. Predators GM David Poile wants the Flyers to pay a portion of Vinny’s salary, paid out a $2 million signing bonus yesterday, but Poile wants more. - J35Bacher
He wants reparations for the Weber affair.

This is what I was going to write in response...
Let's not make a deal for the sake of making a deal. I'm willing to stand pat only if VL is willing to change his game and learn Berube's system. The guy scored 20 goals for us last season...let's give him a chance.
Then, I thought about our blue line and said to myself, if we have to make a deal that would improve our defense whether it be via player swap or in terms of cap relief for tomorrow, then so be it.
It raised a question...do other players see this (signed VL to a 5 yr contract only to see us rid ourselves of his services one year later) and does it result in mistrust in the FLyers organ"eye"zation? |

Oh yeah. Spent a night in the drunk tank after grabbing a male policeman's butt.
Canada Day is wild! The 5M bonus check probably didn't hurt either. |

What? You mean signing a player to a long-term contract and then trading either before it starts or in the first few years? Don't think they've ever done it before. |

I think getting rid of Richards, Carter, Talbot and Hartnell (all great soldiers) have already brought that into question. |
