First, Voodoo Fest is a music festival in New Orleans that has nothing to do with Voodoo. Second, it wouldn't change the way I responded to it, but I find it more flattering to get complemented by women than men. That could just be me I suppose.

We talked about this the other day. Based on Carcillo and Upshall's season and a half leading up to the trade, it was actually not that bad of a deal, and it's totally possible that Homer actually thought Carcillo would improve on his 13/11/24 rookie season. Didn't work out that way, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

I'm sorry, but there was not one positive reaction to that trade when it occurred. The fact that we had to throw in a 2nd to sweeten the deal on furthers my point. It is literally impossible to argue that it was purely a cap move due to the lack of a RAINY DAY FUND. Cap mismanagement.

Flyers traded Upshall+2nd for Carcillo to allow them cap space to bring up Giroux. I'd say that is a pretty clear scenario. Unless you're willing to argue that it was actually a fair trade? I feel confident in saying that how you answer this will make or break my opinion of you.

Part of the fan reaction was the strange attachment people seemed to have to Upshall IMO. While I do think Flyer fans in general tend to underrate their players a bit, Upshall was definitely in the other direction

I would just like to say that all of the responses to my comment were very solid. Seriously, though, my friend does get hit on by guys a lot and I never even get a glance.
