I think the regret starts after 1 month of the season. It's a delayed walk of shame |

At this point, is he really that much worse than Vinny? At least the guy can still skate and play some D. 1-year, $2.5M... no brainer for them. - Tomahawk

As far as the farm system is concerned. A big topic of conversation in the past has been the lack of defense prospects. Now look at it, it's stacked. Things can change quickly in Hockey.
I don't see Hextall's plan as a 3-5 year plan. I think you can both try and win now, and keep the prospect pipeline going. You don't sacrifice one for the other. But Hextall is going to do what he feels is right to do both. - MJL
Very happy about the D prospects they are accumulating.
I like the draft this year (from what I've read, I really don't watch these guys much).
My comment on the 3 yr plan was I heard Hextall say, in regards to the Flyers D, that they will have older guys who will be on the end of their deals when some of the prospects are about ready. He thought it would be a natural transition.
Flyers will always be a team that will try to win every year. I love that about them, but also think they sometimes can take that attitude too far, in regards to sacrificing future assets for TDL pick ups. |

do you think they can find a fit for him on the team?
I really have my doubts, unless he finds some speed he didn't show last season for whatever reason.
Sure he will be better if you line him up at C with Voracek and and say Read.
But is that better then G/Jake or what lots of people would like to see BSchenn centering Jake? - Marc D
i don't know. we obviously don't want him centering the 4th line because of $/minutes reasons, although it jump started him a bit when berooby put him there. he'll have to find a spot on the 2nd or 3rd line. other centers without speed have succeeded. handzus might be a decent example and vinny's got a much better shot than he does. |

speaking of 2nd line Cs without speed, how do you think Brad Richards will do in CHI? |

For 2Real
Greg Wyshynski @wyshynski 14m
John Scott signs with the San Jose Sharks, presumably to punch the other 17 skaters in the face if they blow another 3-0 lead. |

exactly. now that's a puzzling move if i've ever seen one, especially for a team that believes it should have won the cup again this past season and intends on winning another this year. |

If he gets to play with Kane, I imagine he'll look better than he did with the Rangers.
I'm not sure if he's better than Shaw. Shaw is still pretty young and had 40 points last season.
Very low risk move though |

i do too. whenever his name comes up i always think of the clip of him on the bench when primeau ties game 6 against tampa, jumping up and down and hugging the guy next to him...or maybe it was gagne's winner...either way, it's a great moment. |

Couldn't agree more. I liked him a lot with Couturier and Read to the point that I did want him to stay. I liked our team a lot prior to Downie's injury and I felt like the team really missed him. |

Looks like Brian McGratton is guaranteed at least one dance partner for 2015.

They did.. but I think with the Flyers adding PEB and Umberger (and potentially another forward in UFA) and with the way Akeson played in the playoffs.. he wasnt worth the risk of cap space loss
