Gotta make sure the minor league affiliate is gooned up. Waste of time.
Why do the Phantoms need Stortini, when Rosehill will be there? |

Hexy knows the Stanley Cup is more important than the Calder Cup, right? |

I don't know, I don't think scoring will ever be that simple for him. He's handzus IMO - Just5
Michael Handzus once had a 58 point season for the Flyers. Couturier put up 39 points last year in terrible offensive situations. With little PP time. Compared to 41 points for B Schenn.

By terrible. He means, like, the worst in the whole NHL. And still put up positive possession numbers and shot differentials. The kid is freaking good. |

I think he wants the young guys to develop in a winning environment. I think that's important |

The Phantoms basically exist right now solely for the purpose of our young D men and Stolarz. If they have to get goon forwards to get some vets on the team then so be it. |

I cringed a little bit at the Sanhiem pick initially. Another long term project 1st rounder when the system is bare. But I see what they're doing. If they stick to the plan hopefully they can get over this long standing notion that they cant develop D men. - hereticpride
It wasn't that long ago when the conversation was the team lacked any quality defense prospects. Now they have a boatload of them. That's how fast things can change. |

Also drafting good prospects in the later rounds helps too |

Rome wasn't built in a day. So far Hextall has garnered a 2015 3rd, a 2015 4th and traded a 5 year bad contract for a 3 year bad contract. We have to hope he over hauls player development as well. Not a rebuild, but the asset gathering should've started 2 years ago. - jstross
He's already started to help prospect development by starting to stock Adirondack. Making a successful AHL team is a relatively cheap and easy way to improve prospect development by making a winning environment for kids to learn in. The Flyers just signed a two-way 50-60 point AHL scorer (who was 3rd overall in playoff scoring), and most people said "who?" at his signing. As our defense gets better as prospects develop, the Phantoms have the potential to turn into a really strong team. |

That takes a lot of luck. Hopefully, they keep more of their picks going forward to give them a better chance of getting lucky. |

The AHL has some loony goons. Phantoms probably need one of their own. |
