It's a good thing he well is drying up on top 6 forwards and specifically centers. Teams needin one will have to place more value on a player such as Lecavier. Sit back and have the feeding frenzy increase the value of a player you were going to get rid of regardless. Brilliant actually

I think we'll see Laughton in Philly. Schenn is a LW for now and if they do indeed move Vinny now they need a 3rd and 4th line center(I suppose Raffl could fill one of those roles)

EK's latest post has tomorrow as " day of trading"... VL, Big Buf, Marleau, Thorton etc

So In reality none of those guys are moved. I wish he would stop posting about VL.

I think Laughton will make the Flyers. But I also think it will be an earned promotion. If he doesn't earn the job, he'll be in Lehigh valley

I think, at most, Hextall trades some salary out for picks, maybe adds another depth forward. Doubt he even tries for a "top line" winger.

Got a feeling hexy is going to make another sizable move soon. He took care of phantoms first, now it's the big clubs turn. He's being patient and methodical, but I think he has something up his sleeve to improve team before the season.

I think Laughton will make the Flyers. But I also think it will be an earned promotion. If he doesn't earn the job, he'll be in Lehigh valley

i think laughton could contribute in a bottom 6 role in the NHL next year.

if you want points from him, his linemates cant be rosehill and rinaldo. but i do think regardless of where he is put, he will be able to eat some tough minutes and unfavorable zone starts and break even more than not. that could free up couturier for some better minutes. maybe see what kind of flash he has if given the chance.

i know you guys would like another top 6 winger as well. im open to names scenarios for either PA team. gonna have to get creative for sure.

Unless Hexy is willing to part with major prospects or picks I don't see it happening. You'd just be creating holes elsewhere.

As much as we've joked about it we might just want to sit tight this season and throw an offer at Ryan next year.

He has said that with line combinations there are typically a couple guys that fit together and stay together, and then from there you look for a third guy that sort of fits, and shift in different guys that way. That's part of the reason I think you've seen him go after and covet guys that play up and down the lineup. I don't think he's ever been looking for a perfect fit guy to play next to G and Jake.

I'm sure Laughton could play a bottom 6 role. But if he's not getting the minutes, I'd rather see him getting top 6 minutes in the AHL. Ideally, I'd like to see him play as one of the best 9 forwards on the Flyers and make them keep him.

As for a top six winger, I'd like to see the Flyers use Read there. Use Bellemare or Raffl on the third line. Sign a guy like Ott for a season or two.
