Yeah they probably came to games and practices with a beer in one hand and the stench of weed in their hair and clothes during the 70's. - 3flyerkids
It was the 70's. That's when they thought cocaine was good for you. |

I read Tim's blog. Tim is definitely overreacting and I don't think Giroux spending summers in Philly is any sort of panacea. He could just as easily get in trouble here as he could back in Ottawa. - johndewar
Good point.

Never having lived in the 70's, whenever I see movies or photos from that era it just looks like it would have been fun to be living in that time period. |

Nope sorry, Giroux must suffer for his heinous crimes!!
First, he shall be made to sit in the comfy chair, then he shall be pummeled with fluffy pillows til he confesses his sins!! |

Anyone else morbidly curious to see if Giroux is made available to the media anytime soon or do we think the decision been made to go completely tight lipped on this?
Giroux is the captain of the team. He's got to talk to the media at some point, right? Might as well get out in front of it now, in the offseason, and not have to deal with it during the season.

No reason to believe him. He may as we'll just post " an NHL team will gain a new player today or perhaps resign an RFA" |

He's very puritanical. He was one of the media that harped on Carter and Richards off ice lifestyle and helped turn that molehill into a mountain, and now Giroux's little escapade has given him more gist for the mill.
Of course, he's a well known wine drinker, with other writers joking about his affinity for Barolo, but what's good for the goose ain't good for the gander - Jsaquella
At the first buzz gate I had a nice bottle of wine from Piedmont and offered Tim a glass. He turned it down and said he would like to try it but he was working and doesn't mix wine with work. |
