No. There are only 6 teams which are within 5.5 mill of the cap. Only 2 are over the cap at the moment.

There are 18 teams that have between 10-25 mill in cap space. Those teams do not give a crap about the upper limit of the cap. They only care about their internal budgets.

Charges like that are a waste of time and money. My friend's an officer and has locked people up for stuff like that before, and usually they just hit them up with a fine, not criminal charges.

I don't think it's acceptable... but at the same time, this could be the NFL and he could have murdered someone, got caught with drugs, got arrested for beating his wife, or brought up on gun trafficking charges.
