Has anyone heard anything about the alleged signing of Cal O'Reilly (Ryan's brother - who was actually doing, especially given he was on a defensive Predators squad - well until he broke his leg) as well as Dustin Jeffrey?

Edit: thanks for confirming FiveandaGame - any thoughts on these players? I haven't heard any comments either way. For me, I don't mind O'reilly but I think Jeffrey's ship has sailed a while ago.

AHL signings I believe.

ok I give up, they're not trying to win by signing a 20 goal scorer or a former Vezina Trophy winner who by all accounts from player interviewed today, that I listened to, is a great signing by the team.

I'm not saying they're not trying to win, I'm saying that winning is not their top priority, Selling tickets and rebuilding the prospect pool has been the priority. The kids aren't ready to play so these signings are are a stop gap, that's kind of different than a playoff push.

So many people applauded Gillis for picking up Matthias (scoob) because we finally got that legit 3rd C we have been after for so many years and now he cant make our roster???

Well he's not that physical(not an energy forward) or a consistent point producer so I don't see the appeal even from a non-possession point of view. I'm fine with him as a 4th liner.

A simple case of Free Agent remorse

I'm not sure what peoples expectations are. The team finished 12th in the west last year. Did people think that Benning and Linden we're going turn this team into a power house in one summer?

They got rid of Kesler for a decent return under the circumstances, they got rid of that nut-bar Booth, they traded Garrison to give us some further cap space and rid us of a NTC, they brought in a solid goaltender, they brought in a 20 goal RH shooter, WTF did you expect them to do...trade Kesler for Crosby?

They made three awesome draft picks to go along with last years good young picks. I just fail to understand expectations when you've got Henrik Daniel Bieksa Hamhuis Edler on you're team all with NTC's?

Obviously there are going to be some trades coming.
