Great signing with Vrbata, I think Van stole the best guy left and one of the better value players in the overall market with the small term. The money was there with nothing of importance left so IMO it wasn't wasted dollars.

I would kinda like to see Vancouver trade Hansen. That way..... Vey..... ya i did that...... and Horvat can compete throughout the season... Jensen to me is an instant roster spot. So ya trade Hansen for a second round pick and lets gets some young new blood in there!

So? I didn't say he was old, he has regressed/plateaued on his potential. His salary is what makes him expendable and kindve a luxury on the bottom 6. I don't think he's worth keeping at the expense of holding back younger players who are cheap and just starting their careers.

Fair enough. Side not what about this Bobby Sanguinetti guy, drafted in first round in '06 he may be a surprise for Vancouver. Decent stats for khl last year.

But what I'm actually hear to say is Benning has this roster stuffed right now IMHO. I gotta think for cap purposes and allowing to get some of the younger guys in hear. There is a trade or two to come yet.

WHY WHY WHY Can't Vancouver get a cool owner who doesn't depend on the Canucks as a primary source income, and treats them more like a trophy asset.

You obviously underestimate the wealth the Aquilinis have; they're loaded. They probably own more then half of the agricultural land in Pitt Meadows. Odds are if you're eating local blueberries it's either there's or Purewal farms. Don't even get me started about their development portfolio.

Bottom line, hockey for them is a hobby.

No joke - this dude will step right into our top 4 when he comes over. WAY better skater than advertised. If he's come this far (after not getting drafted TWICE), his late bloom potential is mind blowing.

Well at least one or two guys will need to go - assuming that one or more of Jensen makes this team. I hope Jensen and Vey are given shots. It may be a lot to ask for any of the kids to make the team (Shink etc.)
