So 5mil per for an 50 point player? Thunda out.
- thundachunk

I think they are just providing some stop gaps til our youngins mature a little without being a bottom feeder. It appears that way anywho.

I think we're slowly receding back to the same ole same ole, although I'm trying to remain optimistic nonetheless
- Zogg

It seems obvious they want to push for the playoffs again. Not a bad thing.this team is now way too good for McDavid.

My optimism has been crushed by the sinking weight of irrelevant veterans

Probably not...I just thought there were plans to continue moving out Vets before the Miller signing....looks like that isn't the direction at all.

If he gets a NTC at that salary level, then I am in fact going postal (Bezz, I'm donating my collection of phallic garden gnomes to you - make sure the eulogy contains the word 'boinking' somewhere )

I like your positivity. We are strong in D, strong in net and our 3rd and 4th lines are shaping up nicely. Mix in some youth with the vets on the top lines we could be a competitive team. I want to see some more moves. Curious to where Benning is going. This move and the Miller move are very... unsettling.

Vrbata & Miller both have similar contracts, base salary plus a one million dollar signing bonus in each season and a limited NTC. #Canucks

I think he will fit nicely with them, great around the net. Need someone shooting R on the PP. I like this deal. Little stiff by a mill like nucker said but still. I like it.

Have to assume, burrows or hansen or something is gone?

Not complain about the player or the contract, but once again, what is the master plan? One minute it seems like a re-build then all of a sudden the canucks are re-tooling.

There is no way the canucks can compete with the big boys in the conference so why bother? Obviously the owners don't want to lose money. As someone posted earlier; same old, same old.

think it has been said lots, they dont want a loser environment. They want to compete as best they can, try to make the playoffs and have our young kids grow up in that same non oiler like environment. I am fine with that.
