It's seems to me it's going to be a while before we have any sort of real relief in the cap department, if ever, because B Schenn and Couts are going to likely be getting nice raises on what they currently earn even as G-mann and others are starting to come off the books. - wolfhounds
Hopefully, a few of our home-grown defenseman are on the roster at that point on low-cap deals. |

Thanks for the topic change.
I think that as soon as the young guns start making waves into the big league you'll begin to see movement in trades. Those trades will provide our cap relief. But you are correct, if none of them play on the big club we are pretty much stuck at this cap hit for the next 2 seasons and will have some bigger names looking for more money. |

Honestly though, if Bill ever stopped writing on this site, I probably would only come here to see a fan base reaction to some very negative thing (i.e. Pens blowing a 3-1 series lead). - eayost
To revise, I actually like you guys too, but I think there'd be a collective clearing out quite a bit without the keystone that binds us |

What do you think Rosehill will be seeking for his next deal? |

I'm guessing AMac won't be here for the full term of his contract either, but I am curious to see how he holds up as a #3/4. |

Please do not post pictures showing bare butts like that. 1) You cannot post pictures of nudity on the site and 2) Giroux is lurking. |

Yup, Hexy has some magic to make, no doubt. The only true relief is when Pronger's $4.9mm comes off the books...in 3 f'n years. Umberger will be gone that year as well. So just hang on! |

Even if all of the kids turn into real NHL players, I doubt they'll all be in the lineup together. Probably 1 or 2 would/will be used as trade chips at some point. Since they're defensemen though, could be quite valuable |

It'll help that Akeson's on a $575k cap-hit for this season. |

Well, Pronger's making less that the league minimum the last year or two, so it's totally possible a team trying to reach the cap floor trades for him. |
