I believe that would be violating the "spirit of" the CoC, much like the Kovalchuk deal. You may have to forfeit a first-rounder, which would later be returned to you for no apparent reason.

Honestly though, if Bill ever stopped writing on this site, I probably would only come here to see a fan base reaction to some very negative thing (i.e. Pens blowing a 3-1 series lead).

It's been said the Hexy was handcuffed by the cap situation. Do you think that there would have been a significant difference to the approach to FA had they had money to burn? I for one believe Hexy would not have done much more...

I do think the Flyers would have made a pitch for Niskanen and perhaps Matt Moulson if they had the cap space to do so. Hextall said he'd have ideally liked to be have gotten involved in a "little bit of July 1 madness but not too much" (or words to that effect).

I've only ever been kicked off of one site (hobbyinsider.net), and it was actually for something relatively harmless, but the mod and I were having a spat, so he jumped on his chance. The mods here, for the most part, let most things go. I guess they have their own agendas and preferences, just like real police.

It's seems to me it's going to be a while before we have any sort of real relief in the cap department, if ever, because B Schenn and Couts are going to likely be getting nice raises on what they currently earn even as G-mann and others are starting to come off the books.
