I don't think any trades or signings get done until Monday.

With Canada Day and the 4th my guess is there is some sort of agreement with NHL teams that they are taking a long weekend

Totally agree . The rest of the NHL has now realized how good a draft we had . That is why they outlawed teams from having their own combines , so to speak.

Some of the Sabres camp is closed to the public (reporters included). They don't advertise the practice or scrimmage times either. But my guess if someone notices he isn't on the ice its opened to the public

That would be a horrible deal for Ottawa then.. It's pretty well known all you have to give up for Lecavalier is your pocket books and maybe a later round pick.. more likely they send you a pick just for taking him off their books.

Current rumour is the Flyers are willing to retain salary, that may have something to do with it but again it's just a rumour.

Which is why I thought it was odd no reporters were talking about Prince not being on the ice but maybe its not as crazy in Ottawa.. Or maybe Prince had other commitments who knows.. at least its making the day interesting finding out why.

Probably or he's got a minor injury and decided to sit out for today. I really wouldn't read much into it

Grigerenko will never be an NHL player, the guy has no heart and is slower than a sea turtle on a Sandy beach. armia has some skill, I hope he can put up big numbers in the AHL, God knows he's the only prospect who has a chance for any scoring future. I go to all the amerks games, the guys scoring down there are all veterans with no NHL chance. The little Smurf who led them in scoring is good but doubt he will make Sabres.
