No, more like what Bieksa did to Fedorov's little brother a training camp years ago. |

I asked this on another thread earlier and was wondering what the consensus is here:
Now that we have Vrbata, is Burrows next to be shipped out? I heard there had been a deal for him to go to NJ but he wouldn't waive his NTC. Maybe he accepts to go to Montreal (who failed in their attempt to sign Vrbata) and the homecoming deals continue. If so what should JB ask for in return? - GloveHandStrong
If there is no place for him in the lineup, and he plays like crap again, and he won't agree to be traded, put him on waivers. |

I think he, like Edler, suffered from some brutal luck last year. Unlike Daniel's scoring drought, Burrows had lots of chances, hit lots of goal posts, and was still fairly effective in other roles. Obviously he has to be better, but I think we should be more concerned about Daniel, who genuinely played poorly |

Miller's a (frank)ing stick, 6'2 and 175 pounds. I'm surprised Lucic didn't break a bone or two of his when he ran him over, even with the goalie gear. - Nucker101
He needs to eat a burger or 8. Nice choice on avatar btw. |

I know this will sound like I'm defending him, but that helmet that Burrows was wearing last season apparently obstructed some of his view when looking down at his skates. In a league that moves as fast as the NHL where timing is critical for one-timers and close-in tap-ins as Burrows likes to do, that could explain a bit.
Long story short, he'll bounce back, I'll put money on it. Agreed that Daniel is in a more permanent decline but I think we haven't seen much discussion on him (apart from Vantel) because no one believes the Sedins can or will be traded. Certainly not individually anyway. |

Both Burr and Dan will have bounce back seasons. I would say Dan is on a more consistent decline it is not permanent he is to good of a hockey player as well as he gets to play with top players steady. I personally have no problem trading anyone for the right move but the Sedins will not be traded. Burrows is at a crossroad imo he has to find his confidence and I think the rest will come. If Torts wanted him bought out he was obviously in the dog house as well. New coach and players could bring his confidence back.

Yea, at this level you need to have every advantage possible. I think he will at least score 15 this year. I don't think Daniel's decline is entirely physical, and I think he can bounce back as well, but I think this is the last year where it will be possible. If he has another poor showing, I don't expect he will ever be anywhere close to where he was in his prime. |

The whole team needs a big confidence boost. Except maybe Bieksa, he has never struck me as the self-conscious type |

I think you could only say that about a few players. He is definitely one. |

Torts getting fired and Kesler leaving the team are huge boosts for this group. |
