Actually, Bieksa is hard on himself when he's playing poorly for a long stretch of games. Its part of the problem of him being so bad with the puck. Even Henrik has mentioned Bieksa being too hard on himself. AV as well.... His confidence falls horribly... thats why he's so indecisive during these stretches.... suicide drop passes, bad passes, curl back with the puck over and over on the PP... mind blank.... scowling at himself....

Late in Bieksa's career.... I think it's here to stay. He's the only one that can get himself some confidence. AV coddled him for years.... the only thing that hasnt been tried is actually making him accountable.

Seem to recall that Vrbata signed a big FA deal with Tampa a few years back, completely tanked and suddenly started playing well only when he returned to the Coyotes.....Very little pressure playing in Arizona, my only concern would be how he'll react to higher expectations in Vancouver.

Think that Vey will be the more effective acquisition; comes from an organization that teaches players to bring it every night....

That same organization viewed him as expendable compared to the others he would've had to beat out for a roster spot. I'm not sold on him. Hope he proves me wrong, just have concerns that he's another tweener.
