consistent?!! Vrbata has been in the league since 1887! for #$@#$ sakes. Santorelli is just hitting his stride so there is no comparison to be had |

That's tough to do without a high draft pick. And it looks like Benning is building this squad to make a run at the 8th seed. - AlexF

Interesting that Kenins isn't listed, I would of thought after an impressive camp last year and a decent Olympics he would be invited. Maybe too old ?
Virtanen also listed but doubt he is healthy. - belcherbd
I believe that prospects have to pay their own way to this camp, expect to see him in September for the real one. |

Horvat was a stud in the faceoff circle in the OHL - Mungo
Ya but I dont see many spots up for grabs for young guys unless Benning moves some vets.
Sedin Sedin Vrbata
Burrows Bonino Kassian
Higgins Richardson Hansen
Sestito Matthias Dorsett
Hopefully Sestito is in Utica and that opens up a spot for Jensen who IMO should be playing with the Sedins. I also think this organization will give Vey every chance to make this roster and can't see him filling a role on the 4th line.

forget 3rd line I bet he is 2nd line C by October and would be 1st C if Kessel didn't need his BFF Bozak so much.
Actually looking at Toronto's C depth just made me feel a lot better. - belcherbd
Kadri will be 2C (unless he's traded). |

It has to happen, it makes no sense otherwise. Burrows, Higgins, Hansen, Lack and maybe Tanev. |

I realize I've been pretty negative on the FA signings, but things could be worse, they could have spent $25m on Brooks Orpik. |

I thought that was only for NCAA guys but I could be wrong and I am certainly too lazy to look it up. He also has been playing in a pro league ( again too lazy to try and find his salary) so he should theoretically be able to afford it.
Either way I hope we see him at some point in Utica this year I liked his game a lot in Sochi and had a decent year for the champions Zurich in the top swiss league ( 25 pts in 39 games +15). |

My fav signing of Free Agent Frenzy!
... imagine how valuable that makes Edler, Hamhuis & Bieksa as TDL trading chips

This is a nice signing!
Along with Miller, this team is a winger & a defenseman away from being back to competing, (or much closer anyway).

He has a contract if he plays in NA but I'm not sure thats how that works. Didn't Jensen and Rodin have the same thing and maybe Bill Sweatt as well ?
I do know he is not listed on the Zurich Roster currently.

True - but there is evidence that you can get a number one center outside of a top five pick. Don't get me wrong I totally agree with you, but these number one centers were taken later. Out of the current 16 playoff teams, last year, seven guys were later "ish" picks.
Getzlaf - 19th overall
Pavelski - 7th round
Kopitar - 11th overall
Backes - 2nd round
Bergeron- 2nd round
Giroux - 22nd overall
Datsyuk - 6th round |

Santorelli was given a last chance to extend his (frank)in career last year with the Canucks, no one wanted him...get real. The Jets waived him. I like the guy but he's a journeyman that we have plenty of. |

I believe he would be a great replacement for Hansen, as early as next season. Good speed, tenacious on the fore check, plays a grittier NA style than most europeans. |

Interesting the Comets are getting quite a influx of players this offseason.
Shinkaruk, Gaunce, Fox, Vey (perhaps), Jeffery, Kenins, Markstrom (perhaps). Green must be stoked considering how he turned around a pretty untalented team last year. O'Reilly and Biega returning is huge as well.

yeah maybe that's the case, was only guessing.
Edit - yeah, you're right.
Q: Can I attend an NHL team's summer development camp?
A: NCAA players may attend NHL summer development camps, or prospect camps, but must pay their own way (transportation, lodging, food, etc.).

I'll take back every bad thing I have ever said, or will continue to say if they move KB3 at the deadline for a 1st. If they can turn this current turd into McDavid or Eichel I'll be ecstatic! |
