I think Ramsay will really help Yakcity out. To give credit, Eakins did the same thing with the offensive-focused Kadri. He taught him for a couple years how to focus at both ends of the ice. I think it would've been easier if Yakupov was given some time in the AHL, but you typically don't do that with 1st overalls that are offensive powerhouses.

Rather let the kid be good at what he is good at first. Instead of forcing him to play a role he can't which then hurts him in what he's good at. Let him get his confidence up first. Not like this team was some sort of contender that couldn't afford to have their top pick making some mistakes.
