A poop load of those bands are still releasing albums but they just don't get shoved down your throat on radio, tv, etc...They kinda went back "underground"
- Horseguts

Yeah, I just don't really did much of it anymore. Alot of was pretty juvenile and I just get into it anymore. And Bad Religion is just a really bad, boring, pretentious POS of a band that for some reason people think are amazing. When it comes to Punk Music, give me some Propagandhi or Turbonegro or just send me back to the 70's and 80's.

It was a year later but please keep making it up as you go along. Ten was first, then Nevermind, then Core came more than a full year later.

But you lived through it, please tell us more cuz nobody else here did.

- golfingsince

Nevermind Released: September 24, 1991, Ten Released: August 27, 1991, and Core Released: September 29, 1992. Your exact statement
" C'mon man, you said you lived through it. Nirvanna and Pear Jam were top of the charts before STP even released an album under that name".

So yeah I guess they goth topped the charts the day they released their albums and STP who had been a band since before PJ and Nirvana, got on the horse right after their predecessors topped the charts, 14 mins after their albums were released......dumba$$

(frank) you don't know sh!t about other than what you have read. You have 0 objective experience about something that happened when you weren't even alive. That is like me saying I know what it was like back in the 40's when WWII was going on because I studied it and watched some war movies.
Now you deflect to "instead of banging chicks I listen to music and write it". Good for you. Yeah I love the Beatles and play a lot of their songs on my Guitar, but does that mean I have any clue what it was like to be alive to experience Beatlemania and when they swept through the states??? Fu#k no. It is called objectivity and I have zero experience about what it is like to be around the world when they were huge, just like you have zero experience about what it was like to be around during the whole Nirvana, Pearl Jam grunge era.

- ruttager17

Okay, so now I'm right, and instead of being "okay, you're right, we'll just drop this stupid (frank)ing flame war that's been going on for a week" you basically come back at me with the most off topic writing I've ever seen.

And you know what you're (frank)ing missing? Being a kid again. You're living in your past (frank)ing glories of being a kid in what decade? The 1980's? 90's? Things have changed buddy, you keep re-living your old life while you're hitting a mid-life crisis.

(frank) you bud. I'm done with this (frank)ing site.

That was depressing to read. I know they can be political and poop but why not? Greg Graffin is a really intelligent dude that likes to voice his opinions in his art.

Your missing the point. STP were around before Nirvana made it big, but no way they would have been sh!t if not for the attention Nirvana ,PJ and Soundgarden brought to the scene.

WTF are you even talking about??? When did I ever say you are right, furthermore you brought up the music topic and get all pissy when I suggest you can't have an objective experience about a time period you weren't even alive in??? That is just a simple fact. Just cause someone in Australia who has never seen snow in their real life, hasn't actually experienced snow just because they watched Frozen or Ice age.

Don't leave just cuz of Rutt's....what need is a nice subtle video or Gif that basically sends the message of "meh, your comment was sh!t , I could care less and I'm moving on. In fact, I'll let you borrow my personal fave.....

In fact, keep it, I'm gonna look for a new one anyway.

From what I can see (tuning in 45 seconds ago), Rutt's not really going off topic. He's basically saying 'I lived it, I know it. You read/watched it, you don't'

I think going on about how things have changed and how Rutt's in a "mid-life crisis" would more likely be classified as going off topic.

Regardless, this site's a joke. Don't get too mad and don't take it too seriously.

Nevermind became Nirvana's first number one album on January 11, 1992, replacing Michael Jackson at the top of the Billboard charts. By this time, Nevermind was selling approximately 300,000 copies a week.

Ten initially sold slowly upon its release, but by the second half of 1992 it became a breakthrough success, attaining an RIAA gold certification.[1] Almost a year after its release, the album finally broke into the top ten of the Billboard 200 album chart on May 30, 1992, reaching number eight. Ten would eventually peak at number two for four weeks.

So, as I said top of the charts before STP ever released an album under that name. Kindly GFY.

Please tell us again how you lived through it so you know better.

It sucks but I get it cause I was his age once too and the concepts of actually experiencing something vs. a subjective view, are hard to understand and I didn't even get that back then. He's a good kid so gotta bust his balls about it though.

Wow...youre actually a bit of a know it all, vindictive Richard aren't you. You went to a lot of trouble to prove a point in a discussion you budded into like you were Jim Carrey's "Cable Guy".
Check out the bolded and either heed your own advice or mellow the fck out. Your choice, Cochise.

King Buzzo could care less. Nirvana wanted to be the Melvins, as is evident on Bleach. Their influence is prevalent through the grunge and stoner/sludge that comes out today The Melvins still tour and put out records, and put on a really amazing show. They've merged with Big Business, and have two drummers during live shows.
