It's been said 'he of the double scrote is destined for things that are, well, not that great, but also not that bad' Corinthians IV VII
- Zogg

Is it Corinthians or Galatians that talks about circumcision? That passage would fit right in there. I actually see Michael D as a Mormonism kinda guy, personally.

I'd say you're right if we played in the east, the central got much better, my guess is only 3 pacific teams make the playoffs.

I agree with the Leafer Benning has done his job as well as anyone. But the west is so tough now. I dont even know what to expect. The one question to me is, Can Dejsardins provide the Sedins with the type of play they can use to be successful. He great with the young guys, But can the Vets buy into his system.

Well all know Dannys been shot for the last couple of years ever since Keith elbowed him. Do I think the Sedins are still capable of being point a game players. Absolutely. Im I confident of it. Not so sure.

Really excited to see what WD can squeeze out of the twins. Really hoping for 70+ pts. Would be so nice to see them with that swagger where they dominate shifts for two minutes like a few times they did in Edmonton. Just all out domination. Would love to see those guys again.

Yeah, the Sedins production under Willie D will be the key.

His system is all about speed and generating off the rush or forecheck, north-south type of game. Not exactly what the Sedins are known for. The smart move is to let them play their style, and focus implementing his system with the other 3 lines IMO

Yeah, I have heard that. All about the speed and relentless attack. We all know that doesn't describe the sedins and hopefully he just let's them be creative and cycle while other lines press. Wonder if that is possible. Must say I'm pretty stoked to see all these changes, even if that means a 9th and probably won't be stoked later on. Living in the now!

I'm also excited about fall. Seeing which young guns will crack the line up and there is definitely still some trades upcoming.

They just need to start playing exciting and fast hockey again, because most games last year were just painful to watch. If they win its just the cherry on top.

If the Sedins score 70+ I honestly wonder where we will fall in the standings. So many teams in the west have improved this year as already mentioned that it's difficult to guess

9th, at best.
At this point, I don't see them as a play off team next season. However, time will tell.

That is the absolute worst spot to finish. If my team is projected to finish 9 th I make trades to improve 2 to 3 spots , or trade players for assets to move to a better draft pick

So even with a 70 pt performance from the Sedins you don't think we could beat out DAL or MIN? I know both those teams improved this offseason but I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that we make the playoffs

Well that's difficult because the only way I think you do that is if you are already out of the playoff race by the trade deadline. If we're say, 4-6 points back from 8th I don't think brass would pull the trigger

I've learned for over 40 years to approach each new season with lowered expectations. Being a life- long Canuck fan will do that to you.

You would need a bounce back year from Edler Sedins Burrows Hansen . That is a lot of blame to put on Torts seeing they were also declining the year before. Torts may have just sped up the process.

Then there,is the new players factor, of getting use to playing with each other (on the ice).
Then there is the factor of players not being that good to start with. Higgins Sestito Richardson Mathias.

As much as I like the additions of the new players , I still see this team in the bottom 10 of the league

They could be out of it by then . I am not sure Canucks have enough offensive weapons yet.

This team may try to play to low scoring keep it close games.

This is a stop gap team. Our players won't be ready for 2 to 3 years. I see us like the Coyotes this year.

In that case definitely sell some vet assets, but if we are in the running I don't think they will make that call

The start of the season is the one time of the year you can be sure you are in first place
