Iain macintyre hypothetical lines
Sedin sedin vrbata
Higgins bonino Kassian
Burrows vey Hansen
Mathias Richardson Dorsett.
Does this seem like a winning line up to anyone? - manvanfan
Comments like this It's (frank)ing July! They haven't even scrapped the ice for the prospects camp yet for (frank) sakes!
On paper, that forward group already looks way better than what we saw on the ice last year. Not to mention, we have a management team that is way more proactive the glacial approach of the previous regime and a coach that has something to prove and encourages a more offensive style of play.
I, for one, am looking forward to this season with the proper execution of youth injection to roster (Detroit Model=solid mix of vets and rookies getting called up for injuries) and the change in culture that we have this off season.

Well you can't overly blame him. That is who we have signed to contracts for forwards. I think that can be easily changed and things would look much better.
Sedin sedin vrbata
Bonino Kassian
Burrows Horvat vey
Mathias Richardson Dorsett.
Possible second line LW
Evader Kane
Patrick sharp
Max paciotretty
Jaden Schwartz - manvanfan
Anyone slotting in Higgins as a second liner does not know hockey. End of story |

Hahaha yeah but we don't really have someone to play on our second line. I wouldn't really consider anyone on our roster a second line player except for burrows and even then after the year he had last year. Kassian has the potential to be a second liner and maybe bonino keeps trending upward. I thought we were going to let some rookies and youth come in. We have so many forwards on one way contracts there isn't room for any rookies again. |

He has slotted in there often over the last few seasons...
I guess we will have to wait and see if this new brain trust knows hockey. |

I am hoping this is the last year as the Sedins as top line. That is not a insult but it is a sign of progress that the students are graduating. |

I sort of thought it would have been Sestito being still on the team or Niño but yeah - VANTEL
Sestito said he is sniping 45 this year. He will single handily solve the top 6 problem. Then sign a 5 year 25 mill extension and be relegated to the 4th line after that. |

I don't know if a public place is such a good idea. I would rather replace a TV than face a long list of criminal charges. But thanks for the suggestion, I know it comes from a good place. |

We really don't have a single player on this current roster that I feel is top line material other than the Sedins. Benning would have to make much better moves if we're to have the Sedins as 2nd liners next season. |

It would mean players have to step up. Kassian has been training like a bull this year. If Shink is the guy we are all hoping he could be and progresses to it then maybe a future first liners.
Sedins are slowing down . |

Someone has to take a HUGE step to suplant Henrik as the teams number one center. |

Hank would be the harder one to replace for sure. I think Daniel can be surpassed this year . |

I know the forecast for this weekend isn't great, but things are looking up compared to this time last year, the team is headed in the right direction.
We still have more bottom6 than top6, but just hoping some of those guys are ready to transition to the top like Kassian and see what this Vey kid is really all about.
We are in a better position than last year where we got Torts and a new philosophy but no significant change in personnel.

It's not like they were fast to begin with either...and they've had what? 4/14 good seasons? They will be 40 pt players within 3 years. |

I'd need to see that progress, even by consistent showings on the 2nd line, before believing they can step up to face the league's best defensemen and still produce. This season should go a long way to seeing what we have but I just don't see where new top liners will come from at present unless they're brought in via UFA or trade. |

Will definitely be interesting this year to see how they react to last year, that said, there just isn't anyone in the entire organization ready to overtake Hank as the number one center...unless Bo Horvat comes out of left field to be that guy in a few years?
Never say never!! |

The one I am most curious to see is Vey. I have heard reports by some like Ferraro and Maguire who say "Epect to be dazzled" to guys like Ducker who say his puck possession is not that great. |

I'm really interested in watching Vey this year. Great AHL numbers and his linemates were excellent for the Kings in the playoffs. Hopefully he can jump in and be a big impact. If things go well for the Nucks this year we could easily be a playoff team. On the other hand, if they go wrong we will be in the McDavid sweeps |
