Jan Kovar is 23 and scored 68pts in 54 games..... almost double the points of your boy Burmistrov. - Mungo
Playing with 2 33yr old leading scorers. Maybe Burmistrov will do that in 2yrs when he's the same age. |

Burmistrov is also a damn good defensive/possession player. An ideal 3LC. |

Nuh-nah.
I'd send them Higgins straight up, or Lack or Hansen for rights plus a pick. - 1970vintage
Wouldn't it be nice to have a little salary dump...
I would like to see a bottom 6 forward traded... Higgins or Hansen are popular picks.
I want to see a poll of Bennings moves so far?
miller signing
vrbata signing
both?
neither?
undecided? |

so he's basically a year and half older.... with 29 more points in the same amount of games.
i'm sure Burmistrov will put up great KHL numbers for the next 10 years. Not a chance he's back here and if he does come back i doubt he'll have much of an impact. was barely a point per game player in the OHL and never scored more then 28pts in the NHL and 11pts in 22games in the AHL. The real stats says he's not that good.

By that point I think he was just mailing it in. It was quite the acrimonious relationship between him and management, and it was apparent he was extremely unhappy with the way he was being used. |

True... but a guy with the right attitude doesn't just pack up and leave. Once you do that in the NHL your chances of coming back are pretty slim. |

What a bunch of bullsh!t. If you moved to Russia for work & were being misused & mistreated, and then were offered more money to return home & run the family business, WTF would you do? |

Mistreated? was he beat or something?
If a guy is willing to pack it in because things get a bit tough that just shows he doesn't have much fire. Like i said i'm sure he'll put up great numbers in the KHL for the next 10 years. |

IMO he's an ideal 2LC for the future and I can't say the same about any of our young 3LCs. |

ya and one of them is Linden Vey who was the leading scorer in the Dub in 2010-11 and has played the past 3 seasons in the AHL without whinning and was more then a point per game player last year. |

There are a lot of barriers that a foreign player has to deal with coming to NA. Sometimes its best to return home and figure out your game and educate yourself a little more. Its called development some are best developed at home others abroad. I'm not defending Russians I am defending all players outside of NA. To say that he has no fire at his age LOL see how excited he got after that goal above. If he is given a shot he would be a 20 to 25 goal scorer with the right line mates and probably used in the shootout every chance the coach had. I am sure other teams would want this kid too. |

As long as they don't give up any of our top notch recent first rounders I'm okay with it. The guy has all the tools to be a dominant Dman. Pair him with Hamhuis and let him soak in the mentoring. A big right handed shot is something out pp could use. If the package is something like Tanev + i'm okay with that. |

So moving forward he has a bit of competition. Mathias, Richardson, Horvat.
Richardson will probably be on the 4th line though. |
