Yah, the last part as concerns his 'Canucks prediction' was a bit much - he seems to be channeling his inner Esplen, indeed

Ya the Canucks are definitely in a transition mode from old to new, but they, and I, fully expect them to remain competitive for a playoff spot while they soak what youth they have and continue to add to it.

Obviously he is a jealous little baby..... Vrbata is a low risk signing and I personally love it. The Miller signing is more of a head scratcher to me, but trust Linden/Benning are much smarter than Iam

Maybe, just maybe, the Coyotes should try and rebuild instead of signing players like Robiero and company? They're continually trying to make the playoffs instead of rebuilding, how does that saying go, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

"Sure, I like Vrbata, but I have been saying for months that they can't afford to waste his roster spot on a 32 year old declining 20 goal scorer..."

I can't exactly get teary eyed over the hugely overrated Vrbata and the fact that the Canucks - learning exactly nothing from the weak return on Ryan Kessler - were willing to give out a no trade clause that the Coyotes wouldn't.

In fact, an interesting story emerged after Vrbata signed his 2 year $10 Million Dollar contract with the Canucks that the Coyotes worked hard to sign him and offered less money but more term, but then balked at giving him a no movement clause."

James Tanner - Coyotoes blogger

Do I agree with everything he's said - NO. But do I agree with some of the main points (NTC), inflated salary BINGO.

Not trying to beat a dead horse (otherwise I'd start ranting about Miller again) but interesting to hear different perspectives (even if there is a bit of a hometown bias involved)

This guy is Ian Esplen 2.0, even though he's likely one of the few out there that watch many Yotes games, I'll take this all with a grain of salt.

A good trade this year would be Burrows and A goalie to Pens for Martin.

Burrows would be a good winger for Gino and Martin has 1 year 5 mil left. They also have an abundance of PMD

Dropped right off in the small lakes below 4000 ft elevation. Evening Sedge hatches are happening but thats a small window of a day and those lakes are not close to me.

Im buying a truck tomorrow and then Im soon loading up my jet boat and River raft and heading up to Chilko Lake and Chilko River. Stoneflies are on and evening Caddis makes the day very productive.

Im taking my GF with me. She knows the river well....
