Liberals sent our "boots on the ground" to Afghanistan..........I t was the Conservatives that brought them home.

It was the Chretien Liberals who sent Canadian Forces into Afghanistan, and sent them without Helicopter transport capability, (Chretien CANCELLED the EH 1010 Helicopter contract when elected) that lead directly to a minimum of 98 deaths by IEDs, as Chretien under-equipped our forces with19-year-old (at the time of deployment) Iltis lightly armoured jeeps, AKA VW Rabbits with minimal armour protection, and this was how our troops were often killed when they were deployed from their bases to thier forward operating positions.

It was the Conservatives, once in power, who arranged for Helicopter transport (with the Dutch) and upgraded their primary means of ground transport with a heavier Mercedes four-door utility vehicles.


Liberals have the blood of at least 98 Canadian soldiers on their hands, the Conservatives came in and vastly improved the mess left behind when they took over from the Liberals, oh and brought the troops home as well.

Vaguely, I think it was about in Afghanistan about12 years ago, an American fighter pilot dropped a laser guided bomb on a group of PPCLIs, killing four or five soldiers.
