EDIT: I mean, it's a little disappointing, and he doesn't play with the same fearlessness he did early in his career, but he's adjusted and gotten a hell of a lot better defensively so you win some you lose some I guess.

If "enforcers" enable players to feel safer FROM cheap shots out there, doesn't that make them feel safer to throw out cheap shots as well?

Perhaps rather than deterring players from taking liberties (which we already know they don't), enforcers actually ENABLE players to take more liberties of there own and actively increase the amount of cheap shots in a game by their presence?
