I too like overpriced hardware and completely closed software. I hate having options and I prefer to pay more money for inferior products.

I don't think there is any better option than to pay extra for hardware with fancy specs stuck running bloat ware that makes it run worse than a phone from 2 generations back.

if there's an issue with a tab (javascript error, etc) only that specific tab will be affected. it's the best way to do things.

I've always been an Apple guy but seriously, get real. It's a satanic scam and their products, since 2005ish, are cheaply manufactured. Apple clients are the most spoiled people and it's not even close. I pay the difference just to stay fluid with the whole marketing-design business, and because nobody ever really fixed the stupid fonts issue.
