it really works out great at the wonderful world of wawa.

you get out of your car and tell some internet mod/gamer to fill your tank and then you walk inside and buy something with bacon in it. you pay for it all at the register and then walk back out to your car and drive away with gas and bacon.

there is a shoe repair guy down the road from me. i walk by his shop at night and he has shelves of shoes in there that i assume he is working on

who the heck gets their shoes repaired in 2016AD?

When we would visit my cousins in NJ my dad would usually stop and get gas for the drive home and 9/10 times he would get out of his car and pump his own gas because the attendant(s) were busy with other cars and my dad was very impatient.

It can be annoying, but on a cold or rainy day you'll gladly sit in your car for a couple extra minutes

usually people who buy quality pairs of shoes that can last them several years if properly maintained.

i have literally never waited more than a minute for an attendant to get to me.

i guess it's just what you grew up with.

i'd rather not have to pump my own gas. i don't even want to touch the pumps. people are dirty. just another thing i'd rather not have to touch. like pens at the bank (back when we had to actually go to the bank).

Company I used to work for had a gas account at a local station that still did full service, only one I know around. I never tipped him or saw anyone else tip. I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is. Rarely chatted with him. Maybe the occasional "lovely day isn't it?"
