I just hate the idea of Yzerman sitting around and waiting poop out. He'll trade Bishop for some huge return, re-sign Kucherov, Johnson, Palat and Drouin and every GM will sit back and wish they had that kind of talent.

I almost forgot about the Jets. They're looking good actually. Have they made a bad trade in the last few years? I can't think of one.

I recall most of the backlash was Burke getting angry. I think it set the stage for GM's to look at these pretty negatively.

But yeah I'm with you, it should be standard business to take advantage of teams that can't get their cap act together.

Jets aren't bad at trading. They do seem like they need the planets to align to make one though
