my favorite is when you go back and look at an album everybody has in their "top 50 of all time whatever" lists now and all the reviews when it came out were crushing it in arrogant fashion.

weezer's pinkerton was legit destroyed for 5-10 years before it became a mainstay on those same people's "must have albums of the 90's" lists. SO MUCH EMOTION!

unless someone's taste in music is identical to mine i don't care at all what they think of an album. i don't even know how music reviewers still have jobs. they're completely irrelevant.

i'll read a review sometimes for poops and giggles but no two people are the same. music is like food. i hate carrots but some people will sit and eat a whole bag of those hellish little roots. i love a band called superchunk that some people hate. it's just the way it goes.

if i read someone else's opinion of carrots before i ever had one i might expect them to be delicious. you have to review root vegetables and records for yourself.

i would say they didnt want to compete with boxing but 7pm starts would be safe from that you'd think?
