it's ridiculous. one game today and it may as well have been at 7 am. i saw zero seconds of it and had to watch nhl.com highlights.


i wonder if it's because of the horsie race and the boxing match?

I suspect the NHL would have preferred to have no games scheduled that day, however they don't know100% which teams are going to make the playoffs, and teams are subject to building availability on relativity short notice once the match ups are determined, and who has home ice advantage and all that.

Scheduling the game so early (NBC) with the possibility of OT, they lose hockey viewers in favour of the Kentucky Derby viewers.
