Boise Hawks debut 'sun-blocking' blimp

BOISE -- The Boise Hawks debuted their long-awaited 'sun-blocking' blimp Friday night.

The blimp, which was intended to block out the sun for fans sitting near the first-base line, did so for only a handful of patrons.

Two senior administration officials confirmed to us that U.S. soldiers and Shiite militia groups are both using the Taqqadum military base in Anbar, the same Iraqi base where President Obama is sending an additional 450 U.S. military personnel to help train the local forces fighting against the Islamic State. Some of the Iran-backed Shiite militias at the base have killed American soldiers in the past.

saw something weird in my super duper newper wawa. forget what it was called but i guess it's modeled after an alcoholic beverage or something because they make a point to say that there's no alcohol in it on the can.

The U.S. Soccer Federation suspended Clint Dempsey from U.S. Open Cup games for a minimum of 2 years and up to 6 matches for tearing up a referee's notebook during a Cup match last week. That's on top of the 3-game league ban he got from MLS.
