Tatar is 23 years old and has 24 career goals
Nyquist has had 1 great stretch (Sound firmiliar?)

Listen Myers should have the season to see what he can do with Georges. Georges played with Subban for most of PK's career. Maybe he can do the same for Myers. Making him a great offensive defenseman. If Myers still cant show it next year then fine trade him. If the price dips a bit so be it. I'd rather risk our homegrown talent then see him flourish elsewhere.. I don't want any young players unless they are in the top 5 or maybe 10 of overall prospects in the NHL. If your going to be stubborn about it and trade Myers it should be for E Kane and Bogosian or a Couture etc.

Oh bullcrap I'm sick of hearing how we didn't react to the Miller hit. Like everyone on the ice that night is forever bound to be punished for it.. Myers stepped it up last season in terms of physicality. Actually at times it was too much as he would get penalties (sometimes ones he didn't deserve) He doesn't need to be a leader he just needs to play like a top pairing D man and on this team he can easily do that.

Tatar is just an placeholder. Replace his name with any highly regarded prospect. From Jaden Schwart to Tomas Hertl to Mika Zibanejad. If you get one back for Myers then you're doing well.

It is nice to know people . You be surprised how folks want to buddy up to you in the arenas when they can get back stage passes to meet the band . People with sports franchises are often intrigued by the entertainment business . Just like other folks are intrigued by athletes. You get to know them well coming through their facility multiple times a year with different acts . You want to question that or doubt it fine .A lot of athletes fantasize about being rock stars . But I actually got to know people outside Buffalo.

Gaustad the tuff guy didn't do a damn thing, and that's the 2nd time. Everybody is looking to blame Myers just to trade him because some so called Detroit people claim to have interest.

Some Red Wings' fans on Bleacher Report came up with a trade offer I think you guys should hear:

Myers for Weiss, Kindl, 2016 1st, Tatar, Ferraro

I don't like it much. First off we take a bad contract on an injury riddled player like Weiss, whom regardless of our cap situation, isn't worth it. Then we take on Kindl, a less than adequate replacement for Myers. We also get a 2016 1st instead of a more desirable 2015 first. Tatar, I don't have problems with acquiring at all. Then we finish it off with Ferraro, a guy who really hasn't raised an eyebrow with his play in the AHL yet. Overall, it's not the Nyquist++ deal we want so I'd reject it if I'm GMTM

EVERYONE ON THIS SITE COMPARES HIM TO CHARA.......WHAT WOULD CHARA HAVE DONE???? Most likely would have not happen. Trade him now, while you can get something for him.

All depends, if Zads and Risto become studs, Myers would be expendable IMO but not yet
