Some Red Wings' fans on Bleacher Report came up with a trade offer I think you guys should hear:

Myers for Weiss, Kindl, 2016 1st, Tatar, Ferraro

I don't like it much. First off we take a bad contract on an injury riddled player like Weiss, whom regardless of our cap situation, isn't worth it. Then we take on Kindl, a less than adequate replacement for Myers. We also get a 2016 1st instead of a more desirable 2015 first. Tatar, I don't have problems with acquiring at all. Then we finish it off with Ferraro, a guy who really hasn't raised an eyebrow with his play in the AHL yet. Overall, it's not the Nyquist++ deal we want so I'd reject it if I'm GMTM

EVERYONE ON THIS SITE COMPARES HIM TO CHARA.......WHAT WOULD CHARA HAVE DONE???? Most likely would have not happen. Trade him now, while you can get something for him.

If I'm TM, I'm taking no less than Nyquist.

Myers is a bargaining chip that we have to make count!

2 totally differnt players in Myers and Gaustad, one has speed, skill and height. The other can win a face off.

Yeah maybe replace Kindl and Ferraro with Nyquist and Mantha and I'd consider it

Even those guys would suck on this roster.

All depends, if Zads and Risto become studs, Myers would be expendable IMO but not yet

If the 4-time Stanley Cup winning GM Ken Holland is pestering Murray about Myers, then you know you have a coveted defenseman. You do not trade him unless you get Mantha+ back.

Myers will never play like Chara, but he could mature along the same curve.

I guess it all depends how much faith you have in Myers. Personally I don't have much.

Chara plays a totally different game than Myers. To continually compare Myers to Chara is absurd.

Chara is physical/tough.

I happen to be a Nyquist fan. But, I'm just as happy watching him play for Detroit.

I think you Myers' fans are taking much of this way too personally. It's unhealthy.

I doubt anyone on this site is trying to run 57 out of town. But if the right deal came along, 90% of us - without hesitation - would pull the trigger, while the other 10% are dialing suicide hotline.
