I know people like to put every D prospect we have automatically to the top 6-7 in the roster as the future but in all likelihood there will be at least 1 or 2 vets from FA or trade on this team for every year to come. Also don't count out Georges finishing his career here. If he plays well enough he still has 4 years left here and I have a good feeling he will be here for those 4 years.

Agreed.. I don't think Murray will trade him but his name keeps coming up and coming up in trade talks from various legit media outlets... Got to wonder if that gets to Myers head a bit.. We all know he doesn't react well to pressure or negativity. Hoping this is just background sound for the offseason trying to get teams to bite.

True but still hearing your name in trade talks even if your GM is saying he's not trading you has to get to you a bit. Especially again for a guy like Myers who seems to be in his head a bit by outside noise.

Half the league is saying the Sabres are trading Myers or looking to trade Myers, everyone except the Sabres. Funny isn't it. Murray will listen to any offers but never said he is moving Myers.

I've said it before that with what the Sabres are doing it makes no sense to trade Myers, but what do I know.

I dunno....Myers' confidence came back exponentially under a partial season with Nolan, I'd like to see what a full season brings.....a defenseman with his size, and skating ability(for the size) comes around only once in a generation.

he shows glimpses here and there, just like sekera did

he has never gone on a 15 game run where your like "damn"

IMO he plays a bit timid from suspensions and is a bit injury prone

you don't need to move him, but if you get the overpay descent return, you should move him

his sophomore year wasn't like his calder but it was still a good year for him. His third year and half season were pretty bad, I thought despite the low offensive numbers that he played well last year. Sure he didn't dominate, but there are really only a handful of players in this league who could dominate with the supporting cast that he had.

I agree that the injuries are a little concerning, other than that I really think that he was really good all last year. It's tough for a D-man to consistently look good on the Sabres. Let's put it this way, he's no Doughty or Weber, but I think he can be as good as a Ryan McDonagh or Seabrook

I'm not a Myers fan I have said that in the past however, Myers is big, young and a gifted D man and that's hard to come by. IMO with the direction the team is going in you would want to keep him.

Wings are desperate because it seems players for some reason don't want to go there, so yea why would they not start any Myers talk.

Even in a smaller frame Ennis is probably tougher and better defensively.
