Been speculated since Benning got hired, kind of bizarre with the amount front office executives they have now. Linden/Benning/Gilman/Henning/Weisbrod. Not sure what to think of it.
Weisbrod was the ring leader of the "Jankowski in the first round" train as well. - Nucker101
Not reading a lot of positive things about him. |

@sportsnetirf: #Canucks expected to name Doug Lidster as assistant coach tomorrow. - PetrolSexual
So far its just him and Willie then? Doesn't seem like Gulutzan's returning. |

Hopefully Benning won't draft a player in the first round based on only Weisbrod's limited viewing of that player. What a joke. |

Things are pretty quiet on the Gully front? I think they'll make room for him, good coach but he must be ok working under Desjardins. |

I posted a link to the WHL blog last week. Gulutzan was interviewed for the HC job with the Giants. Willie D also seemed iffy when asked about him during his press conference. |

I personally hope they don't offer him a spot on the staff. Having a familiar (good cop) voice left over from the Torts mistake is psychologically counterproductive IMO. Unfortunate because I think Gulutzan could do really well in the right situation. |

Didn't Willie and Gulutzan work together in the past? |

There was talk of the Vancouver Giants being interested in Gulutzen should he be let go. I thought that might have been a pre-cursor comment to him moving on but apparently not. Gully has worked in the same org as WD before but now the roles have been flipped. Not always easy to deal with that.
Biggest question I have: who will be coaching the PP this year? |

Ideally I'd like for him to still be involved with the younger players, like in the AHL but that ain't happening. |

Yeah, similar to AV-Bowness. Willie D was his assistant and now the roles would be reversed if Gulutzan is still here. |

I believe Lidster handled the special teams(at least one of them for sure) in the AHL, but I could be wrong. |

Send him to Utica. Work with Green? Why wouldn't that work? Better to do that until given another NHL opportunity. Linden retained him for a reason. What that is i don't know. |

Time to enjoy the summer, it doesn't last very long, except in BC, we get an extra month and a half on both ends compared to the rest of Canada.
Once they sign Vey it's gonna be pretty quiet until September. - LeftCoaster
Lets see, ice on lakes til 1st week of May, periodic snow for the entire spring, frost in late Aug, snow in Oct, Ice til May again.... Thats the BC I live in lol....

I would really like to see that Valk kid do well not because of his lineage but his skill set and size. I like to root for the little guy. Plus the kid has mad skills small but highly skilled player. |

Green's the HC. I don't see Gulutzan being interested in an assistant coach job in the AHL. Better off as a head coach for a junior or AHL team, easier to get recognized in a HC role. |

5'9, 170 pounds, if he had more PIMS in junior as a scrappy player or agitator I'd be intrigued. |

Ville Leino’s agent tells me he’s having “good talks” with multiple teams for the UFA.
I hope one of them is Toronto |

Every management staff has their muffin picks. When with the Bruins he was part of some pretty good selections:
Lucic, Marchand, Seguin (a gimme), Jared Knight, Spooner, Hamilton, and Khokhlachev to name a few... |
