I wouldn't expect anything less. If they honestly believe they can't win before the season starts they should just (frank) off and quit. |

I get out there about once a year to ski. Lovely country around those parts. - AlexF
It's amazing how different skiing in the interior is, as opposed to the lower mainland/Whistler. I have skied pretty much Whistler/Blackcomb (and of course the local mountains) regularly for years and years (and the whole experience is, of course, fantastic - especially during the late parts of winter/early spring, where you get fantastic runs during the morning to early afternoon when the snow has only melted minimally), all in exquisite sunshine with spectacular long-distance views (and then topped off by several succulent cold ones and lunch on one of the sundecks ...... whoa, pardon the digression there, good grief lol
In any event, my point was, we just don't get the same sort of similar light, fluffy, champagne powder that places like Sunpeaks (great skiing there) and Lake Louise/Sunshine etc get. In fact, my first trip to Banff, I was blown away when I experienced this phenomena. More so, as I'm not a huge powder fan (I like moguls and have more of a down-hill-speed mentality) and Whistler has that 'heavier' type of snow which doesn't make the powder experience anywhere near as good as the interior. It was @#@$#@ bliss. Man, I gotta get skiing this winter...
Ok, end of Tolstoyian lengthed dissertation on the intricacies and minutuae, and reminisces of awesome skiing trips.
We now return you to that whole hockey thing again. And as you may have noted, please do NOT get me started on skiing

I think they're realistically aiming for a playoff spot and hoping they go on a hot streak and get some bounces to maybe win a round. Too bad it isn't the East, where those things can even take you to a SCF. In the West you have to be a top tier team + have good luck with bounces/health on top of that. |

I was all-in down the stretch last year, we'll see where this team stands in January before we start up the tanks again. |

Yeah, like only two hours or something. Just got in, golf, beer, wine, taking out the garbage, quick HB fix before dinner (steaks are on the grill - gotta run!) |

I'm never on that band wagon. I get it, high draft picks and all, but I want to win every game, all the time. |

you ride revelstoke before? Planning a trip up there this upcoming season - anavar
You bet. Great mountain. It's probably 2nd best in BC in terms of terrain after Whistler, but Whistler gets millions of tourists so the Stoke experience is a much more enjoyable one. I was there last year doing powder laps and essentially skiing right next to my previous lines.
You will enjoy yourself. |

Yeah... Not easy to get home for sure. I work for a hockey company and I'm on the road alot. I get to Spokane and it always feels weird to have to turn around and go back to Cali.
Whitewater is a great little hill. Didn't get to ski much as a kid, but always loved that place. Watching guys eat it down Diamond Drill while on the lift was a favorite. - rugdnit
I really love the backside of Whitewater. It's like a playground back there with minimal crowds. I got some great GoPro vids from that area.
Haven't been the Red Mountain since the big upgrade but I heard it's quite a good mountain now and just down the road from Nelson. |

My bad. That was one freak event. Had they played each other 30 times this result would reign as the most unique. It really was one of those days. |
