Agree!
There's something to be said for developing young players in a winning environment. Or at least a losing less environment. Look at the Oilers. Brutal. I think Hall's actually getting worse. He reminds me of Manny Ramirez playing the outfield pointing to Coco Crisp to pick up the ball he doesn't want to jog to. - KB3Point0
Tanknation is Edmonton... I agree with you, I want no part of Tanknation...
it becomes a disease like the one they have in Toronto (blue and white) where losing is tolerated and the fools delude themselves that one day all their great draft picks will pan out... |

they do all the same stuff, watch the same shows, listen to the same music, have family across the border... people in B.C. are more like people from Washington state, or Oregon or NorCal than people from Ontario for example...
the difference between peeps from B.C. and peeps from NY or Texas, or Florida is the same as it is with people from the Maritimes, Quebec or Ontario... so how are peeps in b.c. not like americans who live in WA, OR, or NorCal??
I've lived in NorCal, and visited quite a bit into the Northwest and people are much more similar there with British columbians than the people who i met when I lived in Ontario. |

Case in point, Sir Bezz, as concerns the former, the one almost religious unifying bond that is tighter than midget lederhosen on a freakishly big-boned swine, and that can be summed up in two simple words........... Quality Schnitzel

It's viennese Schnitzel!!!!!!
Germans have no clue about Schnitzel. They can't get the breadcrumb coating right and then they put random sauce on it

touchy touchy! I was visiting a friend in Sweissville and we had a very nice meal of wienerschnitzel and of course a variety of fabulous and enchanting beer selections which I thought was all splendid. Basically a 4+ star meal.
However, once we got to Austria (Meyerhoven) - (our home base was Zurich) where we were going to ski for a week, I was generally blown away by my stay there and several things come to mind in particular. First of all, everyone MUST try Weissbiere(White Beer). This was pretty much the first thing I did when we crossed the border ha - it's crisp, refreshing and light but nonetheless has a distinct and unique flavour).
And of course, if you are visiting either country, everyone must also try the schnitzel, and to top it all off, either a cheese or chocolate fondue (where is #@$@# Fosco???). Absolutely fantastic. Makes me drool just thinking about it (as well as the fresh-faced chesty Frauliens who were serving it )
The food portions and prices and just general disposition of the Austrian people was wonderful, and we had a great time (not to mention Austria is significantly cheaper than Sweiss. Both great countries to visit whether for a ski holiday or just for historical/holiday aspects. . Probably one of the best holidays I've ever had (other than visiting Tijuana and East LA ) in that I actually go to ski the Alps
Ok, I'm definitely on a @#$# roll tonight so please bear with me I'm thinkin' I've used up all my allotted posting limit for 2014
P.S. luckily you didn't get me started on the apres-ski hi-jinks which usually consisted of delicious Glühwein (hot wine - sometimes with cinnamon, depending on the proprietor's preference. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm......)
Edit: @#$@#$ me, Vintage was right |

So if you do decide to visit feel free to hang out here (as long as you're not a serial killer - and even then, hey, I'm sure the stories you would tell ). And of course bring all the lovely frauleins with you as noted. Nothing like a sexy Heidi look-alike with a very healthy ummmm natural glow
