mason's bigger, younger, plays bigger, and handles the puck better. i'm good with mason. not to mention the right hand catch is a little advantage i think. - hammarby31

i'm not saying i like it, you know i don't like full-right goalies in general, but i do think this probably is a slight advantage to catch with that hand.
i hope mason wears a better set up this year. his pads were boring, and that zombie mask was awful. |

could be, wonder why they are waiting if it is Hall? - Marc D
Cause they could sign him at any point. He's not exactly in high demand. |

I think that the player zombies eating the coaching staff/front office would be classy...

I like Lavy too and think he is a great coach, but Berube brings some different elements. His focus on conditioning and accountability was a big help to the team last year. - aflyerpower8
I think Lavy with the dmen he has in nashville could work real well. Having good capable mobile dmen in lavas system is paramount, and he has it there |

I don't know how you can say Berube won't be a good coach and Laviolette was great. Berube hasn't even had a training camp yet. Both have different systems and different ideas. Laviolette was good while here but he also had is own problems with the way he handled some things. Lets give Berube a chance before we say he is a failure or one is better then the other. - J35Bacher
Exactly, berube has to have an incomplete grade. He's still learning and I hope he gets better |

If you look at the Kings roster my friend, they were most defintiely built on drafting. The Kings and Hawks are pretty much a mirror image in how they were built. Built through the draft, and suplemented by trades and free agency. - MJL
Totally disagree.
Jeff Carter and Marian Gaborik were arguably their best players through the Kings most recent playoff run. No disrespect to Williams who was clutch. Both were brought in to be impact players long after their development around deadline time in a splash. Justin Williams is a very nice player but he was brought in long after already having a Cup ring. Richards was another splash. Kopitar, Brown, Doughty and Quick is solid drafting but they do not win their Cups without trading for Richards, Carter, Williams, Gabrik and Dustin Penner to make immediate impact. Keep in mind, LA didn't exactly wait for Jack Johnson, Wayne Simmonds and Brayden Schenn to pan out.
I wouldn't call the Hawks and Kings mirror images of one another. The Hawks have proven they do not need a true number one goal to win, or even a great goalie to win. They've also proved they could give away half their roster after winning in 2010 and still contend each year. Toews, Kane, Keith, Seabrook are all from within their system and all came from high drafting when they stunk.
I'm not so sure the King could simply give away Dustin Byfuglien, Brian Campbell, Andrew Ladd, Kris Verteeg, Troy Brouwer, Brent Sopel, John Madden and Antti Niemi in a day and not skip a beat. I didn't even name Adam Burish and Ben Eager.
I believe the Kings would miss two of their top six a lot if they were traded away. |

I can't get over the shneider deal. Top 3-5 goalie in the league IMO. 6 AAV is peanuts |
