A lot depends on what kids stay or get sent down and if we keep Staff/Hodge/Stewart or if they get traded.. but as of right now.. i'd guess.
Moulson - Ennis - Staff
Hodge - Reinhart - Gionta
Foligno - Girgensons - Stewart
McCormick - Mitchell - Kaleta
Flynn
Myers - Gorges
Meszaros - Pysyk
Weber - Ruhwedel/Risto

Excuse me but are you saying Union workers are lazy and don't work at all? you think more before you post or don't post at all. - SABRES 89
Despite the fact you're getting angry at the ultimate troll..
I just ran into a friend of mine this morning who works for CSX..
"I work with guys who expect to be sent home at the beginning of the day and earn their 8 hours for doing nothing, and when they are assigned work, they get angry and [complain] about it."
Not all union members are lazy, but it's a stigma. |

Its not bad of a team. Should see some improvements. But chances are Stewart and Staff will be traded off before or at the deadline. All depends on how your kids are doing.
The D Pairings seem decent, could be a hard working unit |

If this guy is a beast and can fight a bit, I'd love to see him suit up against Boston and just continually run Chara...kind of like Gerge used to do...was that the freakin best or what!!? ... 5'8" guy running 6' 1000" guy, hilarious!
Anyway, good move by TM. I do remember him saying that one of key changes he needs to make is building a quality development program within the Sabres org...I.e. making Rochester the place where the kids learn the professional NA game before coming up. I like this move if this kid is driven to succeed..that is the right culture to develop, and it seems Murray is heel bent for leather to achieve it quickly. - IonSabres
Chara will be a fossil by the time that kid ever makes the NHL.
Here's what I'm excited for:
I can't wait for this kid to develop for us [non Sabres franchise] so he can take down Zadorov! |

We know we aren't going to kick ass and take names but damn it we are going to be a tough team to play against and try hard.
Any one that doesn't want to be here won't be here.
Supposedly.. Stafford really likes playing for Nolan and really played very good hockey the last 15 games or so of last season. If he can play like that again I wouldn't mind keeping him for a 2-3 year extension.
Stewart is a guy that has all the tools but got injured in his first game here. If he plays for Nolan like he did for Hitchcock which is to just try his butt off eveyr game he could be very dangerous too. |

I think he's saying that Armia is used his wrist injury as a crutch. I don't think I buy that, although the "having to get used to the North American game" part alarms me. I hadn't really heard that one before until Armia's case, at least not from any European that really became an effective player. - buffalofan19

First, I'm not sure it's ever been quoted from the team that this is true, just us hockeybuzz experts.
Second, the kid was 20, coming over to what IS a "different game" and played in the minors. He showed improvement as the season went on and as many say, was big in the playoffs on a team that got eliminated.
That shows me a lot of development, exactly what I'm interested in seeing. - stashu
The squirrel disagrees!!
But seriously, people shouldn't be down on Armia. Him and Risto showed mass improvement over the course of the season. Even Grigorenko, albeit off the scoresheet, showed improvement in his game. I'm excited for those guys but I expect the forwards to be a non factor for the Sabres next year.
Anyone excited to see a Carrier-Reinhart-Armia line at the Traverse tourny? |

Trust me I know all about Stewy and his abilities, but I dont think he will ever change. He has been doing this same disapparance act for 7 seasons now.
He didnt play like that for Hitch, trying his butt off every game is somethign he has never done in his NHL career, he takes major stretches of games off with his lazy playing, but then turns it on for a 3-4 game stretch and you fall in love with him all over again. |

I don't know what I'm talking about. Soooooo high end talent with effort doesn't win? We need guys like Myers, Stafford and Grigerenko who are low energy guys to win. All I said was facts, buffalo has zero scoring forwards for the amerks who are prospects, Luke Adam isn't a prospect anymore, guys like Armia, girgensons and Catenncai can't even score at AHL level. Facts, another fact, girgensons was 41% on faceoffs. - MrSquirrel
