I agree with him about the moves made in 2012 while frantically attempting to replace pronger, that is when I would say the majority of the damage was done.

I don't agree with a lot of his analysis after that. A lot of hindsight is 20/20 points and overly negative point of views.

He also royally screwed up all his drafts from 2011 on, failed to acquire a #1 goalie, and was unable to get any return at all for Meszaros.

Seems about right. While we may or may not needed a young defenseman within the system, if the expectation that Luke Schenn was going to replace Chris Ponger, this was never going to happen. In fact with the team already having Grossmann under contract, I'm not so sure Schenn ever really filled a need. Giroux, Voracek and JvR would probably be a pretty dominating line right now.

She's one of those dishonest idiots who claim the Flyers were the only team who would have given MacDonald a $5 million a year contract.
- Feanor

no doubt about it, he would've gotten that money on the open market

Bill has stated I believe that MacDonald is viewed favorably around the league despite his criticisms. All it takes is for 2-3 teams to like a guy to drive up price. Agree the money is probably par for the course

No, just something I think about when I'm up at night unable to sleep from a legit medical condition that some people think it's cool to make fun of.

The last 3 drafts look extremely promising.

He aquired Steve Mason who was arguably better then Bobrovsky last season.

He recieved a 3rd round pick for Meszaros, that was for an often injured player who neither the Flyers or Bruins trusted enough to make him a regular in thier line ups.

No, no, and no, he never did anything good from the moment Pronger got injured on. Worst GM ever.

If this were a decent writer, I'd say "Let's give this article the FJM treatment"....

...but this writer is not worthy of getting FJM'd.

I didn't make fun of anything. I didn't say anything to imply such and it's pretty stupid to imply that I did.

I don't think they truly believed Schenn would replace Chris Pronger. Just needed a promising young defenseman to hopefully grow into a top 4 role on the Flyers, which can still happen. JVR however has since reached his potential as a top line LW. However, he did disappear when the Leafs needed him most last season, which is something I noticed about his time in Philadelphia as well.

I was imitating another person on this site whose medical condition you have directly made light of on multiple occasions.

But, since you don't talk about NBA owners or post pictures of Giroux getting handcuffed in here, I guess it's all good.

I still believe there is growth within our boy JvR. He's still young and I believe he could hit 40 within the next 5 years with the right line mates.

I know who and what your talking about and my answer remains the same. I didn't poke fun of anyone's condition. Not even a little.
