We are talking about a guy who will be able to sign with a team of his choosing.

It would right now have to be the best offer he'd receive.

Let me see if I can sum up the day:

We want the Hayes kid, but he will end up in Pittsburgh because no one wants to play in Florida
Lebron decides to whisper in someones ear where he is signing because everyone hated the Decision show
Prospect camp is on and reports are good
Skip isn't around anymore, but video game references/tards are still a thing
It's hard to read a thread without stepping on a cow pattie

Bill has stated I believe that MacDonald is viewed favorably around the league despite his criticisms. All it takes is for 2-3 teams to like a guy to drive up price. Agree the money is probably par for the course
- eayost

Yes, and the hockey people I've talked to who think MacDonald is a solid two-way NHL defenseman include a couple pro scouts who played more than a combined 2,000 NHL games as defensemen and have roughly 25 years of combined NHL scouting experience after their playing careers. Bill Clement also feels the same (and he will give you a straight opinion if he doesn't think someone is very good). He was only a 2-time NHL All-Star as a defensive forward and has more than a quarter century of hockey broadcasting experience, including a lengthy stint on the national level.

But, hey, what would people like that know about who can and can't play in this league, especially on D? Clearly they need to start focusing exclusively on Corsi/Fenwick charts to know the real story.

I can't wait for the twin towers, Embiid, and Noel to get their hands on the Cavs.
