Hard to riot when you're already hopeless. |

Have I missed the mass suicide at the tragic loss of Jordan Shroeder? Who will be our future 1C now?!? I brought my famous rat poison punch, we're going down with the ship boys... - bezz44

Big fan of Kurasawa's work. His movies had a much larger influence on western directors than most people realize. Great avatar. |

Yea, love him and Toshiro Mifune. It's funny because as a kid I watched all the Spaghetti Westerns of my dad's generation, so when I later watched Yojimbo/Sanjuro I was all too aware that in many places it is literally word for word copying Westerns and samurai films are just so similar though with the concept of the quick draw and the wandering rogue |

Agreed, I had a few similar moments. It's amazing that they could get away with that level of cinematic plagiarism back then. The Wild Bunch, The Magnificent Seven, Once Upon a Time in the West all were massively beholden to The Seven Samurai. That said I even saw a Bruce Willis movie some years back that seemed to cut and paste the entire plot of Yojimbo into a western setting so apparently they can still get away with it. |

I'm surprised that "we're" so calm about losing our 1st round pick player for nothing. Like at all. I mean, what, they couldn't have traded him for Stamkos or something? |

Why do you think the "Steamer Dog" info was released before this signing. It's been used for generations "calm them with sausage" |

Be that as it may, he's no Dana Murzyn either
P.S. love the new avatar - really enjoyed watching the Red Dwarf marathons. I think the British really had a monopoly on comedy for a long time - Blackadder, Red Dwarf (Rimmer!!), Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, Absolutely Fabulous, The Office etc etc) |

I see myself more as the hopeless hero, curry stains and all, but until this team does something I'll have to amuse myself with other ideas.
Gawd I hated Murzyn, an actual plastic pylon could play better defence |

They do that now the new karate kid ( ) reused the script of the old film only in China... I don't mind it though, I saw a film (think it was Kurosawa, not sure) that was essentially a samurai version of Macbeth. Took me a while to figure out what I was watching but when I did I laughed pretty hard |

Stop undervaluing our players. Stamkos is used goods. |

Edler and Bieksa are a smorgasbord . You never know what you are going to get.
Tanev and COrrado are always so much more steady in their play |

Very few high end defensemen in the league are consistent. I remember Jovo coughing the puck up all the time when he was here, yet he might be one of our best d men ever... Edler and Bieksa have many gaffs, hopefully they can offset them with better offensive numbers. |
