Very few high end defensemen in the league are consistent. I remember Jovo coughing the puck up all the time when he was here, yet he might be one of our best d men ever... Edler and Bieksa have many gaffs, hopefully they can offset them with better offensive numbers.
- Scooby_Doo

My two all time favourite D for Canucks were Ohlund and Salo I did like Snepts Jovo and Momesso in the next group.

Bieksa is climbing the charts as each years passes. Edler is nowhere on my all time greatest list for Canucks.

I have to say I am looking forward more to the next generation . A puck mover and a Russian tree sound nice along with Tanev and Frank C

Nobody has said much about the Toews /Kane signings but I think Chicago are nuts.

I think in two more years with Toews Kane Keith Hossa and Crawford the Hawks will be royally screwed. Good luck keeping their up and coming stars or signing any free agents.

I liked Ohlund and Salo, but my favourite was Lumme. I can remember Jovo used to give me fits of rage watching him play.

They do that now the new karate kid ( ) reused the script of the old film only in China... I don't mind it though, I saw a film (think it was Kurosawa, not sure) that was essentially a samurai version of Macbeth. Took me a while to figure out what I was watching but when I did I laughed pretty hard

I think you're referring to Ran that had strong influences from King Lear. What writer hasn't pinched from the Bard at some point or another?

No way in hell I'd trade Horvat, Virtanen or McCann and a 1st for Kane.
- Scooby_Doo

I agree. Don't want Kane. Horvat will end up being our best player one day. Not best goal scorer. But best all round. Like an O'reilly, Bergeron, Linden type of way. He will jump from 2/3 line but be extremely useful as an nhler.

I want the Canucks to show signs that their youth is coming along. That the current players can bounce back. Yet, I want a high pick this year too.

Is this a possibility?

Benning has been a breath of fresh air. Proactive and clearly has a plan. Its nice to finally feel confident in our GM.

Booner raised a good point yesterday about saving our young players to trade for a centre.

Canucks centres are starting to add up but if we went and traded

Jensen Bonino Lack Hansen for Kane and the rights to Burmistrov we would be getting back a centre and the LW
