I don't know what this means but in recent years in all my years of being a Flyers fan, Nik Zherdov was easily the least most competitive player this team has had. Robert doesn't have to raise the bar very high. He was also originally projected a first round pick, which might have made him a steal.
I haven't enjoyed our offseason but having Anthony Shultz and Robery Hagg does excite me. Shyne Gostisbehere should be here too. Three players taking one more step towards the Flyers. - SuperSchennBros
But yes. Zherdev is definitely the cream of the crop in that regard. If you want to call it that. Hagg isn't even in the same galaxy as that.
I'm excited about the D prospects as well. Don't overlook Alt! A lot of people forget about him it seems like.
The future blueline is looking a lot less bleak nowadays: Hagg, Ghost, Alt, Morin, Sanheim...
SOME of those have to make it, right? I'll be excited to finally see a contributing defensman on an ELC |

He has very little daylight left at making the Flyers. But then again, the odds were never very good.

I'll never forget that look in his eye when the flyers got the game to 6-1. He smelled blood in the water, and the look was pure determination |

Lauridson seems like a bigger version of Grossmann to me, or maybe even Schenn. He brings big hits, he'll block a few shots, but at the end of the day he's not really a good skater and will probably become a PIM machine for us. Maybe he'd do well if we play him with someone who can skate and drive the puck, but he hasn't really impressed me outside of being a sizable big-htter D-man, which in today's NHL really isn't that valuable. |

A player like Lauridsen has to be really physical, and really good in his coverages like Grossmann is to make it. Never say never, but he's looking to be what he always looked like he'd be. Career minor leaguer. Still not a bad gig to make 650K to play for the Phantoms.

Hell, a six figure salary to travel the country and play a game seems like quite the life. |

Fifteen of the last 23 Norris Trophy winners were 30 or older. This past season, only six of the top 40 scorers were 30 or older. Draft for offense, trade/UFA sign for defense. |

Tyler Hostetter is a millionaire. He was signed to a ELC 3 years ago- 575k per year.
He's 23 or 24, and made $1.5 million playing hockey. I played with the kid on more than one team.
He only played a handful of games for the Phantoms and bounced around Trenton in the ECHL. Too many head issues forced him out this season
But he made $1 million in 3 years |

I know D-men usually take a bit longer to develop, but at 25 you'd think he's dangerously close to what's going to be his prime. |
