If I got to pick which pick I would rather get McDavid with, it would be with the Isles pick because it would be really funny. - Herzeleid
Best case pipe smoking dream...
Blues just signed Ott and we all saw what happened when you put that kind of minus player on a than presidents trophy team.
Minus Miller, minus Halak...
The West is scary good
Dream scenario. Blues fall out of playoffs and we win their low chance lottery pick
And have the top three picks!!!
Kings, Blackhawks, Ducks, Sharks, Wild, Avs,
Hopefully, stars yotes or Canucks can claim the last two spots
Isles will suck. Who knows how Tavares recovers not only physically but mentally f his acl tear... Fla has improved a lot starting w Luongo.
Mmmmmhuuuuahaaaa
Pass the duchy to the left hand side
....I know this ain't happening

I agree!
Murray seems like he has the balls to let go of some of the assets to make a bold move when need be. I like his straight up no nonsense put up or shut up attitude. - doctordizzle
I love everything hes done. He just needs to find a dance partner. His offer of all three second rounders for (I assume) a mid first was more than generous, just couldnt find a taker. I dont think hes going to horde assets, if a trades there, he'll make it. And I love the myers idea, our price is a huge blue chip prospect, meet it or beat it. |

I think the hawks get a compensatory pick if they dont sign him by aug 15th. So maybe one of our seconds with or without a later round pick? |

No problem.
The Blackhawks would receive a 2015 2nd round pick if they cannot sign him by Aug. 15th. So they must want at least that much for him. Pretty similar to the Samuels-Thomas trade I would think. |

Agreed.
You aren't going to be able to keep all these prospects. There's gotta be a trade (whether it be tomorrow, next month, trade deadline or a year from now). He's going to have to augment his roster with a savvy trade or two.
This has been beaten to death but I'd do a Hodgson or Ennis, plus Bailey, Baptiste or Hurley (Compher is off limits, for me) and STL 1st for Kane. And I think that gets it done.

If the kid is that highly regarded, and a 2nd gets it done, then I say do it. He's already 22, so he steps in sooner rather than later and helps us out. |

Everyone one here says Girengsons will be the next captain. Including Matthew Coller on WGR(stat so called expert lol). One of the best defesnive players in the game. Ive seen him in the AHL and he cant even score goals. He was 41% of faceoffs this year. Lol. yeah some captain he is. - CaptainRivet

Could even juice that up.
Would love to see Sabres get Kane. Exactly type of player we need and have never had. He's big strong and SKILLED. He just screams Flyers or Bruins, please don't let that happen!

Just say no to Kane . He is poisen till he gets his head screwed on right.
- Maximum Signal
But when he gets his head screwed on straight, you want him on your team already. You don't want to have to try and trade for him then, because the price goes way up.
The time is now. |

Last thing I want around young talent is him . He can poison them all. This is not the off season to make any more moves . They key to Murray's rebuild is 2015 draft. He has been pretty up front about that . Then you can start tweaking things . |

He just added 25 goals to his lineup (Moulson and Gionta), and if you count Stewart, maybe 45.
With all the one goal games they lost last season (yes, Miller isn't here to bail them out, but Neuvirth and Enroth are capable goalies), adding 45 goals (not to mention Reinhart who, imo, makes the team and sticks all season, and adds a bit of offensive creativity to this lineup) gives them another 8,10,12 wins.
That could mean the difference between the first pick and the fifth.
Kane gives you your first line LW for the next ten years and would be a beast along side Reinhart during that time.
There are zero guarantees where they finish for that 2015 draft, so why not trade for a guaranteed first liner? |

I know he's young but i just feel like hes overrated. Way people talk about him you'd think hes gonna be a star forward.... I dont see it. |

coho 121 points in 211 games
e. kane 200 points in 324 games
I am not sure kane is an upgrade over coho on the wing

Is there any actual concrete evidence of his "attitude problems" ? All I see is a very talented winger who needs a desperate change of scenery. |

Hard to see kane making us better next year, especially after we trade players to get him. Probably have ennis or an 18 year old kid feeding him, its not like hes gonna score 40. Im not sure if the mceichel dream will come true, but kane isnt going to screw it up for us.
