But Chara does the same thing all the time. He just doesn't get penalized for it because he's Chara. - HonkFortheGoose
Agree, and takes years to get that non call. He really needs to work on using his body as an asset and not a liability |

Those are easy no's from them
Blackhawks aren't giving up saad and taking on myers salary.
Detroit doesn't give up guys like Mantha unless they're dealing for the Weber's of the world
San Jose is contemplating dealing both Thonton and Marleau, trading Couture who was a finalist to make team canada for a risk would get the GM fired.
Philly is an interesting one but I be it would have to be either or with Laughton and Couturier.
Something like Laughton+2015 1st+roster player (cap dump perhaps). - Sabresfan-365
That's the Type of package we should be looking for or we just keep the 24 year old
Hey if they want to give us tomas hertl i might stay |

I can buy into the notion that Myers isn't a Tim Murray kind of guy and I've said before that I could see him being traded, but not now.
Even if he doesn't like him, Murray probably knows that right now he won't get nearly anything worthwhile for Myers. Teams won't overpay for him because they're still on the fence even if they do believe he turned the corner this year.
If Myers continues to improve, we're talking about a more teams with better offers involved in the conversation in 2015. |

Exactly. This isn't going to be a fair trade. If Myers gets traded, you better believe we're ripping someone off. Use that premise to armchair GM your proposals. |

Nobody is going to want to give up anything worthwhile for him, that's while he'll stay for at least another year.
Even if Murray doesn't like him, he'll like his trade value and he'll know that another solid year (or improved year) gets him a much better return than it would right now. |

You think so? Other GM's aren't Mike Schopp, Myers has value. |

That's exactly my point though, Murray's not in a rush to push him out the door. He may very well want him gone, doesn't mean he's just going to give him away. Next year is a write off anyways, if you can maximize his value and get a high valued asset in 2015 then he'll do that. |

I don't disagree that Myers has value, I happen to be a big fan even during the years where he was the Hbuzz whipping boy.
That being said, despite having a good year on a bad team, I can't see too many teams wanting to give up what it would take to move him at this point. You'll get decent offers for him for sure, but if TM is looking for big haul/overpayment, he'll probably get something like that in 2015 if Myers gets even better. |

You mean its not Stifford - hubie
No people seem to be off the Stifford band wagon . He will be gone at the trade deadline . They just don't get Myers . They don't get that big men take a little longer to develop . He has the tools . He just needs guidance . He seems to have found that under Nolan .
No doubt Darcy gave him the big deal a couple of years to soon . But any more improvement and that deal looks like a steal. |

he is injury prone.. but i don't think he has to play like a bruising dman, that is not his game. as long as he isn't getting thrown around like a doll i don't care. as for the out of shape thing, didn't they tell him to put on weight? |

I am talking about an assistant coach, not starting a TV station or anything like that.
Fact: The Sabres just opened their development camp with a ton of players who we expect to play a big role with this organization in the future
Fact: The Sabres need to hire assistant coaches
Fact: The Sabres opened their development camp with having openings on their coaching staff
Something is wrong there if you ask me. Whether its Dineen or whomever the fact that there are openings on the coaching staff and they started camp without a full staff is wrong IMO. - Stripes77
Fact: Nolan wasn't on the ice today.

Myers isn't being shopped so I don't know why anyone believes he'll be traded. Yeah anything can happen sure but Murray is holding onto Myers for now. DET loves Mantha too much. That's who Murray would have picked after trading back into 1st rd if he would have been GM for us at the time to end up with three solid players.
WPG wants Too much for Kane.
Our current offer was WPG's pick between Stafford/Stewart/Hodgson along with 2016 1st.
WPG wants one of those three with a prospect and a 2015 1st rounder.
If we do get Kane, which I doubt, we'd prolly be giving up Hodgson, Baptiste and a 2015 2nd
Someone is gunna get traded before the Ennis deal I would imagine. Not enough spots will be left when all said and done. Also personally hoping we sign Del Zotto.
