Now theres an interesting team. What do you think of the GM ? - buffalo 1
Yzerman seems good enough. Team is getting better. I do not follow them as well as I should.
Mainly just follow the Sabres. Go to Lightning games on occasion and ECHL games with the Solar Bears (season tickets, love the price). |

As far as I know except for blackouts of course. Love that Boone Jenner kid and now that they brought in Hartnell even better. - buffalo 1
Alao like that Mat Calvert kid and think Kirby Rychel will be a beast. Have some nice kids coming up who would be fun to watch. Unlike the days of Nash/Zherdev |

It was never meant to be one year. Any hockey junkie would know that. We've been deconstructing for 3 years. We are completely, or if you want to count Stafford/Stewart, mostly done deconstructing. It's all rebuilding from here on out. Evidence proves this by bringing in leadership, building blocks to usher these kids in. They're the foundation, guys like Gionta, Gorges and maybe another vet in the coming season or two. Rebuilding the RIGHT way is a big process, and I don't know about you, but I'm sick and (frank)ing tired for striving for 8th place. I'll back this plan 24/7/365. - TheSabresTaco[/img]
Agree with everything except I don't belive we have to tank another year to get better and we already have enough picks and talent in the pipeline to do this now.I viewed last season as the very bottom of the process. Some fans belive this year should be. I simply disagree and don't belive it will be. JMO |

Ditto. I watched maybe 20 games last season. It was a waste. - burner087
I live in the city that my team plays in and I still buy center ice. I like watching all the other games. It's only a waste if you don't take advantage of watching more than just 1 team. |

We lack top end talent. You know it, I know it, we all know it. We have 3 picks next year in round 1. Getting two top 10 players will give us those elite players. That's all we need. That, and a few years of progression. |

If anything we will be marginally better. You'll get a better on ice product with similar results. Suck it up, because on the other side of the poop tunnel is a pot of (frank)ing awesome. |

some people love myers
some are blah with him
that does not mean your right and the other is wrong
none of us work at the sabres office so anything can happen and no fan knows any more then the other
reality check 101 - homiedclown
Agreed
And while I don't WANT Myers traded, I won't freak out if he is moved... As long as its a BIG return
I just don't see the potential in him to be a "shutdown" guy in his own end
Although I do think he can be good all around...
so if we don't move him, I think he will end up being a really nice 2nd pair guy
I expect Ristolainen to fill the RH side on the top pairing (not right away, but eventually)

Cbus is building a really nice team
If they face Pitt again in this years playoffs they've got a real good shot at taking them down
It's gonna be weird in a few years when Buffalo, Tampa & Cbus are the best teams in the East |

Last season he did.... watching him play last season was one of the only bright spots of the season..
Him with Gorges this year is going to be a good thing.. a guy who he is familiar with.. a rock type guy.. a stay home type guy.. Gonna be good. - JVince11
Another reason we won't be dead last, IMO |

Don't watch for a year . Get a hobby , Get out of the house . Because with how this rebuild is progressing so far . In a few years you will be glued to your TV every game night !

I remember when that team had it all . I mainly follow the Sabres but I watch probably over a hundred games per year including the playoffs and I follow more then just the Sabres. |

Maybe a guy who's not even good anymore. Someone who can occupy the 7th defenseman.
1. Myers
2. Pysyk
3. Weber
4. Ruhwedel
5. Gorges
6. Meszaros
Those are six right there. Also take into account that Ristolainen may be starting in Buffalo. |

Good luck with Mezaros staying healthy or being anywhere close to what he was in Ottawa. Id say Risto is in the lineup from day one and Zads will get a strong look in camp as well. |

I won't be cheering to lose. In fact all the games I went to last year were free. I'll always cheer for them to win when I'm there. The reality is that they suck, and I'm okay with it. |

They are some fine hockey games to watch. Having the luxury of seeing them in person is something I try to take advantage of. Especially when people are consistently selling their tickets for next to nothing most games. |

Other than Sabres games, I caught quite a few LA and those Dallas games I mentioned. I stayed away from Eastern conference teams for the most part.
TV coverage in the area (Central Florida) wasn't really bad this year. It seemed like there was a game on nearly every night. |
