Realistically, the kid doesn't have a team right now. As you well know goalie spots close fast and he got caught over reaching his ability. If he wants to play he has to play out. You're his parent, let's say, do you let him sit and protect him or play out?

you tell the kid to keep working on his game as a goalie if that's what he wants. it will do him no good to skate out if all he wants to do is go back in net. find ice, and practice.

he was not square to the shooter. was flat footed. reacted late, and still managed to keep it out. hasek always seemed to be a little more calculated to me.

that really went from being a non-threatening play to being a 2 on 1 very quickly. maybe Marsh shouldn't pinched...

It created a buzz, certainly.

Still the Flyers had a very loyal fanbase and a return to the playoffs wouldhave generated a good buzz as well...and had Forsberg remained and become a superstar as a Flyer, that would have generated a similar attention, albeit at a slower pace.
