I'm with you, couldn't see it happening either, the discussion reminded me of crap on 1040 about basketball and their theory that rookies on the Cavs would train harder knowing Lebron would be there next season. Like all of a sudden there is a reason for them to work hard since they have been drafted, blah blah blah. Just sounded like they were filling air time. Relating their knowledge of other sports with the NBA, but not necessarily using relevant examples.

Yeah, I was just pulling into the driveway and was thinking wtf, really? Yep, anything in the deck has to be better than those guys talking about sports they really know nothing about.

Even during hockey season it is more about transactions, team and player stats, interviews and lineups than listening to the usual bs filler, common predictions. and mutual admiration crap.

Bracken Kearns would be a great signing. Minimum cap hit, and can go up and down and fill in spots where needed.

He led his AHL team in scoring and PIMS last couple years. Low risk high reward signing IMO.

So to pick this thing to death, does he try harder because he doesn't want to be sent down or he should feel comfortable and just work hard because he shouldn't fear being put on waivers because he may get picked up or the Canucks don't want to do that because if he was it would mean they wasted a 3rd rounder?

Nice cap hit anyway. Guessing the organization is expecting some growing pains with such a big shakeup in the front office and coaching staff along with the infusion of new blood in the lineup.
