Morin won't be on the Phantoms this season. It's either the OHL or the NHL for him. More likely pairings:
Hagg-Alt
Lauridsen-Ghost
Manning-Pitbull
Alt and Pitbull are both righties. |

Well, Morin won't be there for at least another year, but yes, they'll have a nice, young group of defensemen this season. - jmatchett383
I can see myself going to more phantoms games then flyers games during the first half of the season. Pretty excited they are so close again, and it will be nice to see alot of the top prospects playing on the same team. |

I'm not sure, to be honest, if coming over at age 20 was the best decision for him. He does play a North American style of game despite his size.
Besides, I love that there's a player nicknamed "Pitbull" Pettersson in the organization... for the nickname alone, I'm glad he's here - bmeltzer
I think the Flyers took him knowing full well he is good enough already to play for te Phantoms......I thought he played great in the WJC game against Russia....he was their best D man in that game....the announcers commented on his leadership abilities and how him leaving the penalty box for the fight at the end of the game would hurt the sweede's.
I was shocked that the Flyers drafted him....I assumed when I watched that game that the kid was drafted already.....Im not sure if he will become a NHL d man, but he has as good a chance as any of their young gun D men....
Yes he's short...but the kid has a fire that you can't teach.

Same here ... they moved closer to me, which will make it easier for me to get to games... instead of being relegated to Bears and Pens games.. |

Thats awesome, its about the same distance from Philly and Allentown for me, and while I can't see ahl games being much cheaper (flyers tickets are pretty cheap as is) after parking beer etc, it will be something fun to do during long flyers road trips. I also haven't been this excited about our farm system in quite some time. |

Hägg and Alt were paired together after Hägg came over from Sweden.

I'm just glad the Flyers pick up a swede. I'd like to see more swedes. I realize that people are individuals, but nationalities seem to have traits. We seem to have gone after Finns (which is fine) and non-elite nationalities (German, French, Dane, etc...). I stay away from Russians (never seem to have luck with them). I'd be picky with Czechs. |

I think it is safe to say that if Pitbull were even two inches taller he would have been off the board wellll before the 7th round. His size was the biggest reason he was around in the 7th. |

I don't think the org is expecting him to be Chris Pronger or anything.
As long as he's better than Sean Pronger, it'll still be a decent pick. |

Me too.. I like how Hextall is building from bottom up first. The Phantoms have been pretty bleak the last few seasons, it's good to see them actually working on the team. |

Week day (Mon- Thurs) games are usually pretty cheap, I have a wireless printer in my car, so my buddies and I will go to games, scout stubhub for tickets 30 min before game time and snag a pair for between 40 to 60 bucks. I would have bought season tickets already if it wasnt cheaper to do it this way, plus you are not locked in to going to every game. I make it to about 15-20 games a year this way. |

Yeah, if you scavenge stub hub, I guess you could consider them cheap.

It's good to see an organizational plan. Instead of treating the Phantoms like a junkyard, prospects will now be developed there, in a competitive environment. Instead of just 3rd & 4th liners and 6th defensemen, the Phantoms will actually be a proving ground for guys who can be very good NHLers. |

Plus these guys can maybe develop some chemistry for future pairings since they have so many around the same age range. It's pretty cool to see |
